Vcds rosstech manual#
Ross tech vcds lite manual program options.
if you have a current ross tech dongle interface, then you should not be using vcds not vcds lite. Note: this manual only pertains to vcds lite, which works with older ross tech non dongle interfaces and which may work with 3rd party interfaces. the readiness staus is a set of 8 bits, each of which corresponds to one monitored emissions "system" in an obd ii car. corresponds to vag 1551 1552 function 15. The possible is that it's $299 and can probably get the same functionality out of the Foxwell/Schwaben scanner. If I went with Ross-Tech, I would go with the cable they sell for $299 as it works with all of our cars and it just seems to be less of a band-aid than going the generic cable and Lite route. Maybe I'm just impatient, but after five minutes you'd think you would get something back. I think it should work with VCDS Lite and it does connect, but takes forever to do an auto scan.
Vcds rosstech software#
I have a cable that came with other software and has been okay for pulling CEL codes and clearing them. I scanned through the manual that ECS puts up on their site (did you see what I did there? ), and it looked to me that you could upload the data to a computer for analysis and manipulation. I have been playing with this every day just to see what it can do. If you do not have a laptop and work on other vehicles this a great tool. I am very impressed not only at what it does with Audi/VW but with any other vehicles. I plugged it into my 07 Ford Ranger and was able to look at live data and access vehicle modules. Another thing is this tool works on other makes/models. First thing I did was a throttle cleaning then an alignment with the tool. I can not see anything that this tool can not do. I got it because I do not have a laptop(yeah I,m a caveman). I just got the foxwell/schwaben scan tool last week.
